PICKS OF THE WEEK

Highlights include THE NEW AVENGERS #1…

ZANE: There’s a creepy scene with Reed, his take on life and death…it unnerved me because you can see a man with his brilliant mind, how he could come to this conclusion.

ERIK: Yeah, that once you realize that we’re just one small planet in a massive universe, in a hyper-intellectual sense, maybe death shouldn’t be so scary.

ZANE: Reed says ‘Everything dies, the sun, the stars’…it’s unsettling, though.

ERIK: Yeah, he’s the centre of Marvel’s first family, so you’d like to think that death scares him.

ZANE: But not at all.

And HELLBOY IN HELL #2…

ERIK: Hellboy is having his destiny shoved in his face. Like, this is who you are, this is you army, this is your throne, take over Earth.

ZANE: And Hellboy doesn’t want it.
